FAQs

What is a Sunsie?

Make toxic, messy sunscreen a thing of the past...Sunsie is the world’s first sun-protective onesie for infants. Built exclusively using UPF50+ rated materials, all Sunsies include a hood, coverage for extremities, and optional coverage for hands and feet. With Sunsie, you can have peace of mind knowing that your little one's skin is safeguarded on any adventure.

How do Sunsie's Protect from the Sun?

The Sunsie is made from a special fabric that has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50+. This means that it blocks at least 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays. The fabric is also lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, ensuring your child stays comfortable even in hot weather.

Are Sunsie's swimwear?

Sunsie's are not specifically designed to be swim wear. However, the fabric is moisture-wicking and encourages fast evaporation to keep your little one cool as a cucumber. Sunsie is designed for use in most outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, rafting, biking, etc.

How do I care for my Sunsie?

Laundry is a pain and we don't want to add to that. Throw your Sunsie in with the rest of the laundry, wash/dry normally.  Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners as they can damage the fabric and reduce its sun protection properties.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

UPF 50+ will block 98% of the sun's rays, significantly reducing your exposure risk significantly.

What's UPF & SPF?

UPF measures the amount of UV radiation that can penetrate fabric and reach your skin. Sun Protection Factor, or SPF, is based on the time it takes for UV-exposed skin to redden. UPF measures both UVB and UVA rays, while SPF measures only UVB.
